When a rumor about worms in a food product became an urban legend that threatened to jeopardize a client company, Donna squelched the rumor with logic and unexpected humor. The Associated Press and Paul Harvey helped disseminate the client’s side of the story so that the rumor was laid to rest without financial injury to the company.

Career highlight

Donna had the pleasure and responsibility of working with Bernie Marcus, co-founder of The Home Depot, on public relations and marketing for the opening of the Georgia Aquarium, the largest aquarium in the world. Located in Atlanta, the Aquarium opened with more gallons of water and a greater variety of fish and animals than had ever been seen in one place. Donna and her team achieved more than 3 billion impressions in global broadcast and print media in just four days!
